alsoCAN architecture & interactive design is a multi-disciplined design studio. We keep studying so we can put more design into practice. So far, Architecture, can; Urban Design, can; Web Design, also can.

In architectural design, alsoCAN specialises in contemporary, inner city, unit developments, residential additions, new houses & warehouse conversions, plus we dabble in the occasional office & school design project.

alsoCAN explores the future of design & urban development through design competitions & research into the changing face of our cities. As the winners of Museum Victoria's "Home of the Future" competition (with Multiplicity), we are projecting into the future.

We're pushing for Melbourne to reflect its multicultural roots in buildings as well as in music & food; flexible living & working styles for a more urban, interactive city. With inventive planning & materials we’re aiming for a modern, light & spacious feel, even within hemmed-in urban sites, while retaining a sense of warmth & texture.

In interactive design we play around in the virtual world, making pixels move, animating & designing elements you can interact with via your computer screen.

We started with 3D computer aided design software at the beginning of the 1990's. The next leap, from producing perspectives & walkthrough animations of buildings, to websites & designing for the computer environment itself.

Does that mean we can design you a web site to go with your alsoCAN designed building? Or a building to go with your website? Maybe. Hasn't happened yet but we're open to opportunities.
